As an individual I am inspired with the idea of leading an active lifestyle and this has ultimately motivated me to the path of Yoga.
Movement and well-being are important to me as family plays an integral role in my life. Personally, I have always gravitated towards group fitness activities as community is also important to me. I want us to work together, motivate and collaborate with each other and create a community where we can strive and achieve success.
As I get older, I find it hard to take part in high impact exercises for fear of long term injury. Falling in love with Yoga and following the basic yoga ethos has taught me self-compassion. My Yoga journey has pushed my limitations but not at the expense of my body. Yoga has helped to quieten my mind and relieve stress, whilst improving my mobility exponentially.
When I gave Yoga a try some years ago, I was apprehensive as I did not consider myself to be a naturally flexible person. Now following the path of daily training, I am surprised at the level of relaxation and exhilaration that my body can achieve. My kids have left home which has given me more time to look after myself, so let me inspire you to do the same.
